Treating Hot Spots

Hotspots cause your pet to scratch and itch incessantly. In order to help your beloved pet recover quickly, apply an antiseptic solution or antibacterial cream to the infected area daily. An all-natural Aloe-Vera gel also does the trick. You may even want to call your groomer and schedule a warm, soothing aromatherapy spa treatment.

Springtime Safety Tips

We hope you enjoyed Wednesday’s Indoor Safety Precautions and are already putting them to good use. But who really wants to stay indoors when the spring weather hits our area? That is why we also compiled a list of outdoor safety tips to share with you so that you can have just as much fun safely outdoors this season with your fur-kids!

Springtime Safety Tips

Last week we discussed how to keep your pet safe from fleas and ticks as the weather gets warmer. But pesky parasites are not the only thing a pet parent should be aware of this spring. There are a few safety tips we would like to share to ensure your fur-kid stays healthy, happy and out of harm’s way this spring, even while indoors.

Indoor Safety Precautions

Spring is here: Is your pet protected from fleas and ticks?

Fleas and ticks on your fur-kid, oh my! That’s right pet parents; it is flea and tick season once again. Whether you live in the city, suburbs, or out in the country, fleas and ticks are prevalent no matter where you reside, so don’t let your surroundings fool you, your pet is prone to these parasites regardless. But don’t be alarmed, there are several ways to prepare yourself and protect your pet from these little buggers. The most important thing is becoming knowledgeable about fleas and ticks and then taking the necessary steps to prevent your pet from becoming a target.

Testimonials

Feline Friendly

My Cat was full of knots because he doesn't like to be combed. I don't like the groomers in this area and was so pleased when I discovered Avery's. My experience with them was very pleasant. The groomer did a beautiful job on my cat. He got the lion cut. He is very skittish and scary but he seemed to be fine when all was done. I won't hesitate to use them again. The last mobile groomer I had brought my cat back to me half done. He said the cat went ballistic so only did one side of his body. The groomer from Avery's told me he was nervous, but they didn't seem to have a problem with him. I would give Avery's an A+.
